Current Research

Concept of Stealth Viruses

Research is focused on the following areas:

1. Improving methods for detecting and characterizing stealth viral inhibitors, including Epione.

2. Using both tissue culture, molecular, and serological techniques to determine the prevalence of stealth viruses in the general population.

3. Sequencing stealth viruses isolated from Mohave Valley patients.

4. Associating stealth viral infection with specific neurological and non-neurological diseases.

5. Clinical testing of currently available therapeutic agents to inhibit stealth viruses and to suppress the clinical manifestations of stealth viral infection.

5. Testing for transactivation of SV40 and of B19 parvovirus by stealth viruses.

The following micrographs illustrate different aspects of stealth viral infection.
